Dodge Daytona (Mitsubishi starion if I’m not mistaken)

The Daytona is not a Starion.
The Starion is RWD Mitsubishi; the Daytona is a FWD K-car.
Dodge’s version of the Starion is the Conquest (yes, there was a Dodge Conquest and a Chrysler Conquest!)

No the Dodge Daytona is on the Chrysler G-Body and is FWD the Starion was RWD.

1) It’s a FWD K-car derivative, not a Starion
2) I love the taillights on those but they totally don’t jive with the car’s styling. Too curvy on an otherwise straight-edge design.
3) lol no fucks given on those hubcaps

These are FWD and based off the K-car platform if I remember right. My mom had a ‘92 ES V6 and it was the biggest turd of a car apparently. Traded it in in ‘94 on a Saturn SC2 and never looked back, or at another Chrysler product since.

Came here to say this, although I never knew there was a dodge conquest also.

IMO Chrysler’s attempt to resurrect the Charger Daytona name plate. I can see the resemblance with flip up headlights and a mini wing but it’s still a FWD k-car. Granted it did save Chrysler and they even had a turbo Shelby version. I wouldn’t mind having one.

Not hubcaps. Those are super rare “fiberide” composite light weight auto X wheels. Like 1200 a set IF you can find them

Fiberrides look different and came on the Shelby CSX? Also the front wheel is totally a walmart hubcap.

Dogisbadob already chimed in with the part about it not being a Starion....
The sister car for this was actually the Chrysler Laser. There was no Mitsubishi variant because this one was 100% a Chrysler product.
The
Plymouth Laser,
however, was a rebadged Mistsbishi Eclipse.
It was a confusing time for Chrysler.

Yeah, the Rampage is cool, too.
Now that Ram is its own division, they should make new ute called the Page.

Can anybody here beat my ‘Daytonas owned’ total of three? I know there’s a few K-car guys on here.
Fun fact, the Daytona’s weight distribution was basically 99/1 front to rear.

You’re not missing much. They were about as interesting as a Grand Am and twice as likely to catch on fire!

I’m sorry, I was looking at the daytona/daytona pic in the comments! You would be correct about the wheels on the main pic my friend. My misrake.
